Do I have to follow a budget?

Yes and no. This is NOT about restrictions and torturing yourself. It is about priorities and living a life you love, which includes spending on things that are fun. We can call it whatever you want but the goal is to help you fall in love with your money situation! And making choices about what matters to you.

What if I mess up?

We all do! This is an amazing opportunity to dig into the deeper issue behind what is causing the oops in the first place. No one is perfect. And you will not be judged or shamed for being human. This is a safe space.

Question 3

Will I be judged for what I spend my money on?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not!!! We all have different priorities and that's what makes us beautifully different as humans.

Question 4

How many hours is it going to take me per week?

Accepted Answer

You can expect a 90 minute session and some small amounts of homework. MAYBE 30 minutes per week. When we get into the technical? It can feel like more but not over the 30 minutes.

How often do we meet?

My preference? Once per week but I also understand it can be tough to manage in our busy lives. If you want the best progress? Weekly.

Question 6

What if I want to quit partway through?

Accepted Answer

You can do whatever you want. You will not get a refund though. The price is based on the entire program you've chosen and that will have to be paid. We can shift how we are working together but please note: when we get into the hard stuff? We often want to self sabotage and quit. I completely understand and so we can shift to life coaching, manifesting, or some other area of your life but the full contract has to be paid out or fulfilled.

Am I able to reschedule appointments?

Always! Life happens and we have to be able to go with the flow. I ask that you respect both our schedules and give at least 24 hours notice but every situation is different and we will have open communication to make sure it works for both of us.

Can we do this group style with a friend or family member?

Accepted Answer

Do I need to have a minimum monthly income to work with you?

You really don’t. If you are scrambling to pay your bills, there are better resources for you out there to start and stabilize. My services are best valued for individuals bringing in at least $80,000 per year.

How long do I have to work with you?

Is my financial mess too big for you to help with?

Often people believe their problem is bigger than it actually is while the truth is that EVERYTHING is solvable. If your challenges are outside of my scope I will let you know. Let’s hop on a consultation and see!

100% yes. We will both sign a confidentiality agreement upon starting coaching.

What makes you different from other money coaches?

I have been there. I am also a trauma-informed somatic master life coach who can help not only with the logistics of your finances but also with the internal healing that may need to happen so that you don’t end up in this position again. I’ve spent over 2,000 hours inside one of the most intimate and vulnerable parts of people’s lives: their money.

No I don’t but I do have OUTSTANDING people that I can refer you to that can help with all of those questions.

I have tried them all! My need to know what gets the best results led me to You Need a Budget which hands down gets people out of debt, organizes their finances, and helps them learn what's important by showing you where your money goes.

I've tried YNAB before & it was too hard. Do I have to use it?

You are free to use any method to keep track of your money you want. I can understand YNAB is A LOT to take when you're trying to turn around your money situation on top of learning a new system. I have coached people after multiple false starts with YNAB to become their own best expert. Anyone can learn!

Why do you use YNAB?

It changes lives! Years and years into my financial transformation I was doing great. I used Mint and loved it, but when I found out it was closing up I needed a new option. I was skeptical about YNAB because I had tried and failed before. But after using it for 1 year I 10xed my bank balance. And the only thing that changed was it forced me to plug the leaks in my manual system. Four years in, it has helped me crush the last of my debt and 26xed the amount of money I now hold in my money system.

Can I book a consultation to see if I like you?

I won’t coach you without one! We have to make sure we are the right fit in order to make this coaching as effective as possible. This is very vulnerable and personal relationship that we are stepping into and we need to make sure we like and respect each other.
